The Problem was that the topping system that was installed over the radiant heat pipes map cracked through out the entire space leaving a less then perfect situation for a decorative concrete. System One asked to have an engineer to come in and review the topping system to check the integrity of the slab.
The Solution. After we finished our survey of the cracked topping system we meet with the homeowners and KBW to go over the options. We presented them with a system that would repair all of the cracks and give them the finished crack free decorative concrete floor that they were looking for.
The homeowner and KBW are extremely happy with the finished result.

System One Floor Solutions Inc. was asked to submit a concrete resurfacing system by Bird Construction Ltd. We applied Ardex Concrete Dressing with an integral stain through out the theatre for a clean and durable finish.

TAXI Vancouver – 5500 sq ft

Pax Construction – System One Floors Solutions was contacted to offer a LEEDS friendly solution to this heritage building existing concrete surface. The owner did not want the elevation of the existing concrete floor to change. System One applied an engineered micro topping to emboss the existing concrete floor and applied custom stains and sealed. The owner wanted the look of an old worn out floor to suit the environment of their newly renovated office.

A combination of polishing machines ranging from our 4 foot wide path polisher to our precision twelve inch concrete shaver made quick work of the over 200 000 square feet. Dominion Construction Calgary – 15000 square feet of polished concrete

In 2003, Calgary introduced a sustainable building policy which means all public buildings — either new or renovated — must be constructed to meet or exceed LEED’s silver environmental standards rating. Platinum is the highest rating.

The Water Centre — a 183,000 square-foot, four-storey building to house 400 office staff and facilities for another 400 outside workers — features 100 per cent day lighting, 59 per cent reduction in water use, 58 per cent saving in annual energy consumption resulting in annual savings of approximately $108,000.

Polished concrete was a must for the City Of Calgary. Not only did they want the esthetic aspects of polished concrete the other benefits are low maintenance cost and light reflection.
